Who else got scammed by AI Finance Academy?
Looking for mental support. People who can relate.
So, a little detail that you probably already know.
You’re invited to invest in the stock market with their AI guidance and their guaranteed profits. Then you find out it’s a class and you need to take notes and follow their lessons every day. The assistant helps set you up. Takes your information. Confirms your identity with your driver’s license and a selfie. She always tells you not to worry, she will help you. She’s there in private message to answer any of your questions in Telegram. The group is in WhatsApp.
The stock market stuff quickly turns to crypto.
They give you $500 to invest at first. Their AI system determines when it’s best to invest their in short term trading given crypto and when to exit. Called “signals” that they post 2-3 times per day. Then you post your profit in the group chat or with the assistant. They allow you to withdraw that profit which is usually around $100-$150. I didn’t withdraw mine though.
Then they encourage you to transfer money so you can make the big profits. You gotta transfer $5,000 to be in the next level and keep receiving signals. The assistant helps you with how to do the bank transfers. It’s complicated and frustrating.
After you make profits, if you try to withdraw from their fake platform, it just hangs up and circles. You write to support and they tell you it’s in review or something. And it will be available in a few days.
The levels go up and after a while, they require $50,000 which they offer a loan for if you can’t afford it.
The chat in the group is over-the-top, neauseatingly positive. Constantly praising the “professor” and the “mentors”.
I didn’t realize at the time that pretty much everybody in the group was a bot. I wonder if I was the only real person in the group.
In the end, I guess the people who made multi millions would meet with the “professor” and join the elite club where they live their dream life and help other people gain financial freedom. But I don’t think there were any real people in the end.
When I wrote “the professor” and “the mentor” in private message, they didn’t sound anything like the same person in the group lessons. The “mentor” was dang rude and mean. |
